It was a pleasure speaking with Shimmy, a New Jersey native who was diagnosed with HAE in adulthood and experienced his first attack while attending synagogue.

Meet Nathan, a college student studying finance who was diagnosed with HAE at 8 years old.
“It was a pretty easy decision to take a preventative medication. I kind of got to a point in high school where I was like, ‘I'm having too many attacks to kind of live a normal life – I'm missing too much school, missing too many extracurricular activities.’”

Meet Kim, executive recruiter living with type II HAE. Kim remembers her first attack at 8 years old, but it took her 25 years to get a formal diagnosis. Ever since, she’s been motivated to support the HAE community as an advocate and a participant in clinical trials.
