At Astria, our steadfast commitment to the communities we serve is at the heart of our patients-first, people always mission. The lived experiences of people impacted by allergic and immunologic diseases is woven into our core values and everything we do. This commitment and approach mean that the needs and preferences of patients and their loved ones shape our decisions at every phase of drug development.
Earnest, collaborative and compliant patient advocacy and engagement are essential to our collective success. We believe that by working with people who have hard-won expertise with the diseases we aim to treat, we can advance science, enhance treatments, and ensure access more effectively together than we ever could alone.
Areas of Focus
Engage – We seek and actively listen to the needs, preferences, and experiences of people living with allergic and immunologic conditions and integrate these insights into our work, at every stage of drug development.
Invest – We support the vital work of patient communities through investments of our time, expertise, and appropriate financial support to advance community-driven priorities, with an enhanced commitment to amplifying disease awareness and community outreach.
Empower – We provide education highlighting the challenges and burden of disease and its treatment to encourage meaningful patient-physician connections and shared-decision making. Our efforts focus broadly on the impact of disease, including the burden on one’s mental health, caregivers and families.
Envision – We see a future where the experience of living with allergic and immunologic diseases has been transformed by improvements in care, treatment, education, and access to medicines. We are committed to being a part of innovative solutions that will empower patients to break free from the gravity of their disease.
